What We Believe
The Deliverance Tabernacle is a church built on the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. We don't apologize for that. We don't hedge it. We hold these truths with conviction, not because they're traditions we inherited, but because they're realities we've experienced.
What follows isn't a list of abstract theological positions. It's a declaration of the God we serve, the Christ who saved us, and the Spirit who fills us. Every point is anchored in Scripture because we believe the Bible is not merely a helpful guide, it is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of the living God.
We are Spirit filled. And we believe that every promise in this statement is as real and available today as the day it was written.
Come as you are. Leave changed!
Statement of Faith
The Deliverance Tabernacle
-
We believe in the Church — the redeemed Body of Christ and His beloved Bride, called to preach the Gospel, make disciples, and advance the Kingdom of God in every generation.
(Matthew 16:18) -
We believe in the Holy Scriptures — that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, the final standard for all faith and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:16) -
We believe in God the Father Almighty — the Creator of heaven and earth, the sovereign Lord over all things, worthy of all worship, honor, and praise.
(Genesis 1:1) -
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son — conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, and was buried. On the third day He rose from the dead in power and victory, conquering sin, death, and hell. He ascended into heaven, now sits at the right hand of God the Father, and is coming again to judge the living and the dead.
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4) -
We believe in the Holy Spirit — the active, present power of God at work in the life of every believer. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues, the gifts of the Spirit in full operation today, and the fruit of the Spirit as the mark of a Spirit-filled life.
(Acts 2:4) -
We believe in salvation — that every person stands in need of a Savior, and that through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, sin is forgiven and new life begins.
(Romans 10:9) -
We believe in water baptism — as a public declaration of a life surrendered to Christ.
(Acts 2:38) -
We believe in deliverance — that Jesus Christ came to set the captives free, and that His power to break every chain, bondage, and demonic oppression is still active and available today.
(Luke 4:18) -
We believe in divine healing — that by the stripes of Jesus Christ, healing belongs to every believer, and that God still heals the sick today through prayer and faith.
(Isaiah 53:5) -
We believe in the resurrection of the body — that those who are in Christ will rise to eternal life, and that life everlasting awaits every blood-bought believer.
(John 11:25)
Amen.
